A unique and personal jazz quartet inspired by Kathryn’s love of late night jazz and her scat singing mentor, Professor Bob Stoloff who is the Vocal Lead from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Kathryn was part of a handful of British jazz vocalists who were invited to a private workshop with Bob which opened up her jazz world. Bob quickly spotted Kathryn’s natural ability for jazz improvisation and ‘confident’ soloing. He nurtured her unique approach to the genre and valued her learning style which up until now was misunderstood by some. It was Bob’s support that inspired her to form her own quartet.
A collaboration with Kathryn’s long term and trusted Producer, Paul Worthington is underway and she will release and record her own take on jazz which promises to be quirky and characterful record.
